Special guests:

OkiDoki, a local company that produces beautiful one-of-a-kind bags and totes out of used billboard material, will have a selection of their products available for purchase.
Free Geek will be on-site collecting electronics and small appliances.  Please click the links to find out how to best prepare your donation and for a list of items they do NOT accept. For larger donations, they suggest bringing items to their SE location during their public drop-off hours. Free Geek does not require a fee for their services, but donations are welcome to help them continue their important work in our community.
Simple Sundries is a local business that offers waste-free personal care and household products by refilling and reusing plastic and glass containers.  They will have a selection of their products available for purchase.  Sorry, no pumps or spray nozzles will be accepted at this event.
OKAPI Reusables is a reusable cup network, now in 17 cafes in Portland. As an OKAPI member, you can get your coffee to-go in an insulated stainless steel cup and return the cup to any cafe in the network within two weeks. There’s a one-time fee of $10, then you can borrow and return as much as you like, using a simple app.
Untonne offers subscriptions for emission reduction and reforestation solutions.  Nearly 3 billion people worldwide lack the resources to afford a safe and efficient cookstove that gets smoke out of the home and keeps kids from getting burned.  Untonne members help pay down the cost of these stoves, and, in the process reduce emissions equal to some or all of their members’ carbon footprint

Items we are collecting for the community:

Men’s t-shirts (L, XL, 2X, 3X. No small or medium) for Blanchet House.  Blanchet House is a local nonprofit that makes a difference, one relationship at a time, through food, clothing, and supportive housing programs.  Dropbox for t-shirts will be near the James Recycling payment table.

PLEASE SORT ALL RECYCLING – WE WILL NOT ACCEPT UNSORTED RECYCLING.  ITEMS WITH RECYCLING NUMBERS MUST BE SORTED BY THAT NUMBER
REMEMBER WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING ALL THE ITEMS LISTED ON OUR WEBSITE.

If you are elderly, have a disability, or need help carrying recycling from your vehicle, please come to the check-in table and we will find someone to provide assistance

Photos and videos are taken at our events and are used for James Recycling publicly, social media, and other internal and external media needs.  To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent, or legal guardian.
