Special guests:

FREE GEEK  will be on-site collecting electronics and small appliances.  Free Geek does not require a fee for their services, but donations are welcome to help them continue their important work in our community.

UNTONNE  offers subscriptions for emission reduction and reforestation solutions.  Nearly 3 billion people worldwide lack the resources to afford a safe and efficient cookstove that gets smoke out of the home and keeps kids from getting burned.  Untonne members help pay down the cost of these stoves, and, in the process reduce emissions equal to some or all of their members’ carbon footprint

MAMA & HAPA’S ZERO-WASTE SHOP  will have a selection of their wonderful products for purchase.  Ross Ching and his wife, Nadia Takla, are owners of Mama & Hapa’s Zero Waste Shop.  It’s a store where you can refill a lot of non-edible household goods from shampoo to laundry liquid to floor cleaner. The term “Hapa” is popular in Hawaii to signify someone who is of mixed race so it fit perfectly with Ross’ Chinese and Caucasian descent.  Inspired by other zero waste shops, they set out to make the customer experience more fluid, quicker, and cater to average people with 4 goals; provide free containers, eliminate weighing, be affordable, and be nearby.  With the goal of many shops across the Portland metro area to change consumption habits!

PLEASE SORT ALL RECYCLING – WE WILL NOT ACCEPT UNSORTED RECYCLING. ITEMS WITH RECYCLING NUMBERS MUST BE SORTED BY THAT NUMBER

REMEMBER WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING ALL THE ITEMS LISTED ON OUR WEBSITE.

If you are elderly, have a disability, or need help carrying recycling from your vehicle, please come to the check-in table and we will find someone to provide assistance

Photos and videos are taken at our events and are used for James Recycling publicly, social media, and other internal and external media needs.  To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent, or legal guardian.
